Shirley called me today to inform me about Aunt Marian's death. My deepest condolences go out to Beverly, Shirley and their entire families. The Christmas Eves spent at your house when my father and Doreen would bring each of us kids a gift. Your mom and dad very so gracious to share their love and meals with all of us. She certainly was one of a kind and we will all miss her very much. She lived a long life and taught us all what getting older was all about. I am so sorry I will not be able to attend the visitation and funeral on Sunday. All my love, Marvin Ray.

On a lark, I googled Marian’s name and came across her death notice today. Marian played a very special place in the life of my late mother, Louise Rowoth. The two of them met at church after my mom moved to Cameron in 2006 and remained best friends until Mom’s death in 2015. They saw each other every day, enjoying taking walks, playing cards, assembling puzzles, Dancing With the Stars, Klondike bars, and just talking—oh, and laughing! Even after Marian’s memory and ability to speak faded, she gleefully looked forward to Mom’s visits and her home made pies. Mom told me several times that Marian was the best friend she had ever had in her entire lifetime. And for me and my sisters, seeing Marian was always a special part of our visits with Mom in Cameron. Shirley and Bev, we are very sorry for your loss. Marian was one of a kind! Jim Rowoth
